The company was established in 1968 and was restructured in 2000. The company has been listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange since 2004 and was subsequently upgraded to the premier market in 2023, reflecting its resilience, progressive vision.

The company has grown to become a driving force in local, regional, and global real estate markets. This achievement reflects the company’s extensive experience gained from the successive Boards of Directors, supported by their highly diversified expertise with deep knowledge in finance, real estate, investment, and other related fields. The Board is strengthened by specialized committees (Audit and Risk, Remuneration and Nomination, and Governance and Sustainability) that ensure well-informed decisions and steady progress toward achieving the company’s strategy. Additionally, the Sharia Supervisory Board, acting as an external entity, reports directly to the Board of Directors to uphold the highest standards of compliance and transparency with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia Law. This structure is reinforced by a proactive executive management and a skilled team operating within a solid organizational framework, enabling the company to deliver innovative projects that reflect leadership, quality, and excellence, in line with its vision and the aspirations of its shareholders.

Since 2000, the company’s Boards of Directors have been committed to developing and refining a conservative yet ambitious strategic plan, supported by key policies that strike a balance between ambition and prudence. This plan focuses on expansion, development, and the creation of added value across the company’s operations. The executive management is responsible for conducting this strategy through effective and innovative implementation. Our strategy is built on the following pillars:

Within this framework, Al Tijaria continues to strengthen its vital role in sustainability — -environmental, social, and governance (ESG) by issuing an annual Sustainability Report since 2020, in addition to being a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
